Badal (Muktsar), January 3
Deputy Chief Minister and SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has decided to constitute party’s zonal, district and assembly segment-wise Information Technology (IT) cells to spread information about the party’s activities to masses through social media.
For this, Sukhbir yesterday held a meeting with SAD leaders of the Malwa region at his native village and directed them to complete the process in this regard at the earliest.
Gurmeet Mann, Chairman, Housefed Punjab, who also attended the meeting, on behalf of SAD’s Gidderbaha constituency in charge Hardeep Singh ‘Dimpy’ Dhillon, said, “Apart from constituting the zonal, district and assembly segment-wise IT cells, the Youth Akali Dal (YAD) leaders have been told to appoint district presidents in four categories – urban, rural, scheduled castes and backward castes.”
“Further, the YAD will be setting up youth clubs in all villages for the welfare of scheduled castes, backward castes and general category people. A minimum of two youth clubs would be set up in every village, but in larger villages, the number of clubs may be three also,” Mann added.
AAP is a lot of rejected leaders: Sukhbir
On the sidelines of the bhog ceremony of SAD’s Muktsar district president Dyal Singh Kolianwali’s brother at Kolianwali village on Saturday, Sukhbir termed the leaders joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) a rejected lot. “Leaders who are now joining AAP are just like unguided missiles. They all are projecting themselves as potential CM candidates, which will give rise to a new revolt in AAP in the future.”
