Channu mishap: BSP to protest tomorrow

Channu (Muktsar), Dec 15

A day after 12-year-old Dalit girl Arshdeep Kaur’s killing rocked Parliament, Congress and the BSP leaders today made a beeline for the victim family’s residence. Arshdeep was crushed under the bus of SAD leader Hardeep Singh ‘Dimpy’ Dhillon on Friday.

While the Congress said the compensation paid to the victim family was inadequate and demanded they be given Rs 1 crore, the BSP said they would hold protests at all district headquarters on December 17, seeking justice for the aggrieved family. Among those who visited the area were PCC ex-chief Partap Bajwa, former CWC member Jagmeet Brar, Congress spokesperson Sukhpal Khaira, BSP state coordinator Parkash Bharti.
