Leaders attend Channu mishap victim’s bhog

Leaders from all major political parties today attended the bhog ceremony of 12-year-old Arshdeep Kaur of Channu village, who was crushed under a SAD leader’s bus on December 11.

Those who attended the bhog ceremony included bus owner-cum-SAD’s Gidderbaha constituency in charge Hardeep Singh ‘Dimpy’ Dhillon, his brother Sunny Dhillon, SAD’s organising secretary Tejinder Middukhera, OSD to Deputy CM Avtar Vanwala, SGPC member Bikkar Channu, district Congress president Gurmeet Khudian, AAP’s legal cell in charge Himmat Shergill, PPP’s senior vice-president Jagjit ‘Honey Fattanwala’.

Voicing solidarity with the bereaved family, Dimpy said he would bear the expenses of the weddings of the victim’s three sisters.

However, some representatives of farmers’unions said Dimpy should not have been allowed to deliver a speech.
